ABOUT US

The National Association for Incoming Tourism of Macedonia (NAITAM) was launched in September 2016 in Skopje, as a legal form to bring together individual tourism workers, agencies and companies dealing with incoming tourism, with main goal to contribute to revitalization, improvement of tourism, preservation of the tradition of domestic tourism, based on the values of the human, religious and national identity. The association provides for mutual cooperation and gives to its members business development, greater promotion, expanding views, new ideas and contacts that improve every segment of tourism in Macedonia.

MANDATE

  • Participation in the development of incoming tourism in Macedonia, committing to protection of the natural values and promoting sustainable business of local communities in tourism sector,
  • Cooperation with higher education institutions from Macedonia and abroad in the field of tourism and catering,
  • Active participation in the implementation of the National Strategy for Tourism Development in Macedonia,
  • Organizing fairs, congresses and conferences in the country and abroad in order to promote Macedonia as an attractive tourist destination and establish business relations with tour operators from abroad,
  • Determining and fostering good business practices and business morale and establishing rules for regulating the mutual relations between the providers of tourism activity working on incoming tourism in Macedonia,
  • Organizing the joint appearance of the members of the Association at international tourist fairs,
  • Networking and continuous improvement of cooperation with other participants in tourism in the field of catering, transport and hotel management,
  • Participation in the work of the international tourist organizations and establishment of cooperation, as well as cooperation with other national tourist associations and organizations from other countries,
  • Association, harmonization and protection of the common interests in the field of tourism, the members of the association in front of the state bodies,
  • Improving the results of operations in the field of tourism,
  • Providing professional assistance and other business services to its members,
  • Monitoring of the legal legislation, the adoption, amendments and additions to the existing regulations in the field of tourism, and the preparation of proposals for the adoption of new regulations or amendments and supplements to the existing regulations in this area in order to achieve the promotion of tourism as an interest of the association,
  • A commitment to respect the legislation in the tourism industry, to prevent unfair competition and to prevent the creation of a monopoly position on the market, as well as advocacy for professionalism in the field of tourism and provision of services in the field of tourism,
  • Taking all actions before the competent authorities (administration, court, municipality) that are necessary for the protection of the rights and interests of the members in achieving the goals of the Association for which it is founded.
